Plugin Development

Every business eventually needs WordPress to do something WordPress does not do. That is the point at which people either buy four plugins that almost fit, or have one written that does.

The kind of thing we build

How we build them

As a proper plugin, with its own repository, its own version number and its own uninstall routine. Not as a pile of functions in the theme, which is where this kind of work usually ends up and why it usually dies at the next redesign.

Everything gets documented. Every plugin we hand over comes with a README that explains what it does, what it hooks into, what it stores, and what happens if you turn it off. If a developer who has never met us has to work on it in four years, they will manage.

Ownership

You own it. The code is yours, the repository is on your account, and there is no licence fee to us for running your own software. We are paid to build it, not to rent it back to you.

What it costs

A focused plugin — one job, one screen — is usually $6,000 to $15,000 and three to five weeks. Larger systems with integrations, permissions and reporting run to $40,000 and beyond. We scope in a week and quote a fixed number.
