Northbound Logistics
A nine-year-old site with 41 active plugins, a theme that had been modified in the WordPress admin, and no version control. It went down roughly monthly and nobody could say why.
We rebuilt it in eight weeks on a custom theme, reduced the plugin count to nine, and moved the two things that genuinely needed custom code into a documented plugin. Uptime since launch is 99.99% across nineteen months, and their team publishes new pages without calling us.
Harlow & Fee
A furniture maker who was paying for three separate subscriptions to handle quotes, a shared spreadsheet to track them, and a person to reconcile the two.
We wrote one plugin. It takes the twelve inputs their sales team needs, produces a branded PDF, emails it, and files the record where their accountant expects to find it. It replaced all three subscriptions and paid for itself in five months.
Cedarline
A WooCommerce store with 12,000 products and a Black Friday that had failed two years running. The brief was simply: do not go down.
We spent six weeks on the database, object caching and the product page query count before touching anything cosmetic. Black Friday traffic came in at 4.1 times the previous year’s peak. Median page response was 380ms and the store did not drop a single order.
Meridian Labs
A migration from a bespoke PHP application to WordPress, with fourteen years of technical documentation and a URL structure that a lot of academic papers link to.
Every one of the 8,400 URLs still resolves. That was the whole job, and it took three weeks of mapping before we moved a single page.
